Although most teams took a summer break, ours did not. We completely redesigned how users interact with the 3D Map in Spatial Reality, introducing new gestures like pinch and drag for moving and two-handed pinching for scaling or rotating the map. This enhancement opened up new possibilities, such as displaying driver cams with stats over the cars directly on the 3D Map. Starting today, we also support additional F1 shows, including Pre and Post-Race Shows. Our 3D Maps now feature 20% more detail, offering a richer view of buildings and natural elements. We’ve also adjusted the materials to make the map slightly brighter. Additionally, users can now slow down the main broadcast while watching live or past events—a feature previously limited to driver cams, the 3D map, and data channels. Please note that Moments and Immersive videos are no longer available in the app due to legal reasons.

From Bahrain to Abu Dhabi, we've meticulously recreated every detail! Countless hours were spent ensuring that every corner, curb, and tree is accurately placed, mirroring their real-life counterparts. Our city maps are particularly detailed, highlighting significant buildings and landmarks with precision. Maps feature a dark theme, emphasising the track and cars for a focused viewing experience. Expect even more detailed maps soon as we strive to continually enhance our offerings.

We have integrated F1TV into Lapz to enhance your viewing experience. Now you can watch Races, Qualifications, Sprints, and Practices alongside real-time car positions displayed on the 3D map. This integration guarantees a more immersive experience, allowing you to access individual driver cams and data window alongside the main broadcasting window.

During our inaugural on-site hackathon session, we developed a prototype that achieved successful mapping of car positions onto a 3D map. Using an intelligent algorithm. Additionally, we implemented smooth corner rotations for the cars, with each car represented by its team's distinctive color. This achievement signifies a major leap forward for Lapz, showcasing the elegance of data visualization.

Immerse yourself in the sensation of sitting behind the steering wheel of an F1 car with full 360-degree demo videos. Feel the true speed from the comfort of your living room. This represents the future of watching F1® races. We recommend being seated while watching, as our testing has shown that the experience can feel incredibly realistic.

The checkered flag signifies more than just the conclusion of a race; it embodies victory and accomplishment. Typically associated with the race winner, it represents their triumph over challenges and competitors. The symbol features alternating shapes reminiscent of the pattern found not only on the flag itself but also throughout the circuit, such as on the finish line and the red-and-white curbs.

Monaco stands out as a unique and highly significant circuit on the F1 calendar. That's why we chose to begin testing everything on this map. Not only does Monaco feature notable elevation changes compared to other tracks, but it also includes distinctive elements such as tunnels, water features, buildings, trees, and more. These characteristics make it an ideal testing ground for exploring various edge cases and experimenting with different materials for our 3D models.

In our initial prototype, our goal was to demonstrate the ability to track the position of an F1 car using Xcode and RealityKit. Each red dot represents position coordinates scaled down to fit the 2x2 meter map. During this phase, we opted to enhance the maps by incorporating the Z coordinate, which accurately reflects the terrain's elevation changes. This allows users to observe how cars navigate uphill and downhill sections of the track.
